You've probably seen the plaster version of this Blatz "Dancing Valerie" sign. It's a beautiful, and rare, piece of Blatz advertising from the 30s. But have you EVER seen the TOC (Tin On Cardboard) version of the same sign?

I never had until coming across this rare beauty a few years back. And I haven't seen another one since. This sign is from my personal collection and has been lovingly displayed in a non-smoking home. Have you ever seen another? Will you ever see another?

The sign measures 17" wide, 23" tall, and is self-framed. Much of the sign is embossed: Valerie and the keg she is dancing upon, as well as Blatz Old Heidelberg Beer. " The "frame is also raised along the edges.

The original cardboard back is still in good shape with its original hanging cord! This sign does have some wear in the form of light scuffs and scratches, rubs, tiny dents, spots of missing finish, and what appears to be dried water-droplet spots along the right side -- it appears to me as though someone sponged off the sign and let the water droplets sign to dry and form mineral deposits -- just my guess. There are five small nail holes, that I do not believe are original to the sign, in the four corners as well as the bottom middle. Like everything we sell, this sign is absolutely authentic, original, and very old.
