This embossed tin sign advertises for Nyal's Family Remedies and measures 19.25" x 9.25". Regarding the history of the sign: The Nyal Company was a pharmaceutical company out of Detroit, Michigan around the turn of the century that became extremely well received. Their products came from The New York and London Drug Company out of New York. In America, any local pharmacist that carried the Nyal company could be supplied a sign as the one seen here. In this case, Cline's Drug Store, the interesting part of the story.

Cline's had been a Southern Illinois institution since right after the Civil War. The last two pics are of an article from the McLeansboro Times-Leader on October 20, 1955 that gives a brief history of Cline family's 87 years of experience (at the time) - putting their beginnings in the business around 1868.
