Vintage Rare Tom's Confections embossed tin sign with frame for store rack, 1963

  

This is a vintage original rare Tom's'Coast to Coast' Confections embossed tin sign, for attaching to the top of a store display rack or cabinet. You have to love the'Make Hunger a Joy' line!

This is not an item which comes up often, and if you collect Tom's advertising, its a great addition. The sign measures about 16 1/2" wide by 8" high (or 9 3/4 high including the wires). The sign is marked at bottom'A-M, Inc Lynchburg Va.

The'Tom's Confections' is embossed on sign. The sign has a wire frame on back, for mounting to the rack.

The wire has old gold paint, and has some scrapes and a bit of rust on upper right side. There is old sticker residue on lower left of sign, & some paint rubs and spots in lower left, lower right, and upper right. There is a small bit of rust on the upper right top rolled edge, & scratches on left A few small spots in corners of triangle around'Tom's'.

This item was part of a larger collection of advertising items that I acquired, and most of the items were collected back in the 1970s and 1980s.
