Vintage Bamfords Original & Universal Haymaking Machines Tin Advertising Sign. A truly exceptional vintage sign having a wonderful harvest scene design. JCB was founded by Joseph Cyril Bamford in October 1945 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England. He rented a lock-up garage 3.7 by 4.6 m (12 by 15 ft). The trailer's sides and floor were made from steel sheet that had been part of. At one time he made vehicles in Eckersley's coal yard in Uttoxeter. The first trailer and the welding set have been preserved. The sign is likely from this very early chapter in the JCB story.

The sign does have some light age related wear in places with there being a small dent and consequent bend to the bottom piece. However, the sign is generally in a superb condition and looks beautiful when displayed. The piece measures 73cm by 53cm. If you have any questions please message me.
