Vintage 1939 Coca Cola Gas Station General Store Advertising Big Tin Sign

  
This nice old Coca cola store advertising tin sign probably hung outside of an old general store or gas station or roadside burger joint perhaps, advertising Americas favorite soft drink, with color meant to entice and excite your senses! It measures 27 1/4" by 19 1/4" and as you can see the condition is rough but its very ledgible and the colors are still bright and bold, in red, geen, gold and white. This is an early sign with the green border.

It is marked St Thomas Metal signs 1939. As you can see it has some dents a couple of wrinkles and a crack an old bend, it may have fallen off a building at one time, all of it straightened out to be preserved by someone thank goodness, lots of these old signs were scrapped over the years, this is a survivor!

Other than that it has some scratches and some paint chips along with some nail holes that held it up. The sign shows some rust but nothing major. These old ones are getting harder and harder to come by! Its has lots of character and it will display nicely anywhere.
