RARE Vintage TESTED Cola by COCA-COLA Bottling Works Metal Tin Sign 9.5 x 20

  

This is a REALLY RARE Vintage sign. It is for a brand called TESTED. This may be the only sign like this left in existence or even made. I know it is authentic, however, I've been in this business for years and sell mostly advertising and I've never seen this sign or heard of this brand.

I've asked some of the most expert sign collectors I know and neither have they. Hours of online research had yielded nothing. Where are you going to find another one! Here's what I do know: It is very early, likely 1920's 30's, and made of a thin tin. Based on the "All Flavors" on the sign I assume Tested came in multiple flavors and that leads me to believe it was most, if not all, fruit flavors. The 20" is pretty exact, but it looks to be slightly under 9 1/2". Bottled by Coca-Cola Bottling Wk's.

The letters "TESTED" are actually RAISED LETTERS. Perhaps the best part of the sign is that under the "TESTED" lettering it says Bottled by Coca-Cola Bottling WK's.

So was this a Coca-Cola product? Was it bottled under the authority of Coca-Cola? Even more interesting is that the "WK's" (for works) appears to have been hand painted on after the sign was made. I'd say it was almost certainly when the sign was still in use. Don't miss out on this one!

Sign is made of a thin tin. It has that "fresh off the farm" look. It some minor dings, dents and bending. As you can see it has some rust spots and paint chipping.
