It is from an old amusement park that is near New Orleans, Louisiana. It is a large tin sign and measures 27" wide x 21" high.
There are some residue stains from the paper that was adhered to it for protection from scratches. There is still some of the original paper stuck to the lower back half of the sign, but I have not tried to remove it. The sign may clean up, but I will leave the sign "as is" rather than try to clean it. There are some scratches and wear, but not bad, considering it's age. There is also some light rust, mainly on the back of the sign.
The red color on the Clown is still vibrant and not faded. See photos and ask any questions about the condition you may have. T does have some great graphics of the Clown, some buildings, and an old roller coaster with passengers, and one man losing his hat!
All of the lettering has dimples in the metal to create a reflection in the bright sun or spotlights. See all photos to evaluate the condition, and please ask any questions about the sign. This sign is guaranteed to be old and original. The item "Original Vintage Ponchartrain Beach tin sign 1930s Amusement Park Carnival Clown" is in sale since Thursday, December 31, 2020.
